Our Mission
It is our mission to generate community investment in the artistic, industrial and historic importance of Ravenswood and to raise awareness for the unique hub of creative practices that exists here.

Artists will have the opportunity to show their work in one of the many amazing industrial buildings that line Ravenswood between Addison and Lawrence, or will be placed in the Big Tent or within their own.

Expanding the Footprint(Get out those bikes!)

  •  This year we have decided to include several more buildings leading up to Addison as several art businesses, namely those in 3711 N. Ravenswood, have appraoched us and want to be part of the artwalk again!

Fill the gaps

  •  This year we are going to have several outdoor tent areas located within the walk. We believe this will encourage visitors to walk the length of the Tour, visiting more studios and businesses.

Artist Coordination

  • In order to give you, the artists, additional influence and control over your spaces and your experiences, we will put you in contact with other artists located in your space and assist you in coordinating advance planning. This idea was brought to us by a number of artists and will allow you to work together to do addition outreach for your space, plan shifts so you can enjoy the rest of the walk (or take breaks), and even to do a bit of addition décor and planning!

Creative Business and Industry in the Ravenswood Corridor

  • The mission of RAW reads “It is our mission to generate community investment in the artistic, industrial and historic importance of Ravenswood and to raise awareness for the unique hub of creative practices that exists here…”  We want to increase participation of all businesses in the area and to bring more artists and neighbors to you. Whether through hosting artists in your space or creating opportunities to experience your goods and services, talk to us about your ideas and we’ll make it happen!
